J. Michael Adams
 
J. Michael Adams became Fairleigh Dickinson University's sixth president on July 1, 1999, following 15 years as an academic dean at Drexel University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He previously was a professor at the State University of New York (SUNY) at Oswego. Dr. Adams is President of the International Association of University Presidents (IAUP) and is an IAUP representative to the United Nations. He also serves on the UN/IAUP Commission on Disarmament Education, Conflict Resolution and Peace, as well as the national council of the United Nations Association of the United States of America. Dr. Adams holds a B.S. from Illinois State University, Normal; an M.S. from University of Illinois, Urbana; and a Ph.D. from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale. Check J.
