Kumarian Press is looking for manuscripts that address global issues and promote change. Areas of interest include, but are not limited to: international development, international relations, NGOs, globalization and economics, women and gender, environmental sustainability, peace and conflict resolution, and works that link the shared problems faced by both the North and the South.

1) A cover letter that explains the concept of the book

2) A clear, short (1/2 to 3/4 page) summary of your manuscript

3) A description of the intended readership

4) A description of how your work differs from other books currently available on the topic, outlining the unique, compelling features of your work

5) A c.v. or resume

6) A detailed table of contents including a chapter-by-chapter outline that sets out the scope of each chapter and the contribution it will make to the book's argument

7) Ideally, a sample chapter (double spaced)

We will review your proposal and give you a timely response. You may submit your proposal as an e-mail attachment, or by mail. Please include a stamped, self-addressed return envelope if you would like your work returned (please do not fax proposals or manuscripts to us).
